Seeking school recommendations in Northern California

Dear rotorheads,

 

I have my PP ASEL, IR, and about 500 hours. I've never flown a helicopter and would like to take lessons. I have no ambitions to fly professionally and prefer part 61 over 141.

 

Any recommended schools or instructors in northern CA? I live in Oakland but own an airplane so I'm happy to go anywhere in the north half of the state.

Wow! Guess there's no good schools or instructors in the Northern half of the state. I know plenty down here in the Southern half.

Try Vertical Cfi Helicopters they're just down the road at the Hayward airport! verticalcfi.com

Go father north. Bend OR has Leading Edge Aviation, one of the best helicopter institutions in the NW.

You can try Sonoma Helicopter in Santa Rosa, or if you want to be on the south side of the bay, try Specialized Helicopters in Watsonville.
