Come listen to Pete Gillies of Western Helicopters speak on the importance of "Cyclic Back" and maintaining rotor RPM. Pete is the Chief Pilot and has been with Western Helicopters since 1972, known for their recurrent, vertical and full down autorotation training. Pete has over 40,000 hours and is well known all over the US.

Chuck Aaron is the first - and only - civilian pilot ever to be licensed to perform helicopter aerobatics in the United States. In fact, he’s one of only three pilots permitted to execute the dangerous maneuvers in the world! Chuck has over 20,000 flight hours and has performed at more than 150 air shows. Chuck will be sharing some insights on how he performs these manuevers, and what planning he has done to make each manuever as safe as possible.

This is an amazing event, so do not miss it!

Ahhh, You're "the guy"! I was just talking to your CFI about where he can land for the evening. Be sure to come up and say hi at some point!

Gotta say...we can be a pretty spoiled bunch at times. Great members, great operators & great support from the likes of Robinson, etc. Still have some tough issues to contend with, though, LIKE NOISE.

Maybe we should counter with proposal of new Federal and State Aviation Noise Abatement Laws:

Have politicians shut their mouths.

F'ing eeedjits.

There.

I stated it.

Done.

The noise complainers will always complain. But we have to do our part to do what we can, and have just as strong of a pr machine as they have!

Yes, sir!

I have never flown West of El Monte, so I needed some good eyes! I had Bill call you because he is familiar with the airport, and could better understand the process...

Looking forward...see you tonight!

PS....Chuck Aaron is giving e-ticket rides, right??? ;)

Chuck was great too~ It is cool to hear WHY and HOW he does what he does, and all of the safety related issues that he constantly juggles. I am sure there will be exciting shows in his future...can't wait to see all of the new stuff. Wish he was interviewing for a replacement ;)

And thanks to your son! He was a great chauffeur, a nice young man, and I wish him luck with his basketball career!!

It was very humbling landing in between 2 super scoopers and a skycrane....(for a beginner)...

I did videotape it, not sure how that turned out yet.
