arotrhd Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Any of you's also follow TTAG? Congrats Helibacon on opening up another delightful market by merging a least a couple of enjoyable activities. The name alone should help create a little profit. I am still looking forward to 'helping' with the boar eradication efforts at some point...behind the stick or trigger really doesn't matter at this point. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/02/foghorn/video-machine-gun-helicopter-hog-hunting/ Also brings new meaning to TailBOOM. -WATCH FOR THE PATTERNS, WATCH FOR THE WIRES- Quote
WolftalonID Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Nice! Everything is better with baconnnnn!!! Quote
clay Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Looks fun.... shouldn't they be using brass catcher's instead of that just ejecting loose? seems like that would really ruin your day if brass got in the pedals, cyclic, collective. Quote
WolftalonID Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I have always wondered the same thing.... Quote
Joe_P148 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Nah, our gunners have brass shoot all over the place not to big of an issue if you have sleeves over the flight controls. I've fired from the front a few times and most of the time the brass hits the slip stream and flies out of the aircraft anyways. Quote
SBuzzkill Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) Depending on who's shooting we can end up with full mags worth of brass in the cockpit. Usually it rolls into a crack somewhere but every once in a while a casing or two will end up near the pedals but even then I've never really seen any potential for loss of control. We have a cover over the other controls which keeps the brass away from the cyclic and collective. It does seem to scratch up the windshield a bit. Edited February 6, 2014 by SBuzzkill 1 Quote
Wally Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Hot brass down the pilot's shirt is exciting. Quote
