HeliNomad Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Wet means fuel is included? I fly into AUN a lot. Great restaurant on field and the chips let me use their helipad. It's a great place to grab breakfast on your way to the Sierras if you are waiting for Truckee to go VFR. Love that place. Quote
Flying Pig Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 There is a country club just down the road also. If you call them they will come pick you up in a golf cart. It's only about 5 min golf cart ride. Quote
pilot#476398 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) Our services are tailored to your individual needs for experience. However, we do not provide initial flight training. Our goal is to advance the experience of rated pilots. A commercial license is not necessary but preferred. We offer the following services for helicopters. Feel free to inquire about additional services you may need.Cross-countryNight flightMountain flyingOff airport operations including confined areasAll VFR maneuvers (no full down autos)Scenic flightSFAR 73 trainingBFR R-22 currency trainingBulk time up to 100 hour blocks available. All blocks will be flown with an Odyssey Aeronautics CFI. 10 – 20 hour blocks = $175/hour WET30 – 100 hour blocks = $160/hour WET Got this from their site. It seems odd that they have an R22 and a CFI, but do not do initial flight training? Too bad they don't have a discounted R44! Edited February 4, 2014 by pilot#476398 Quote
Flying Pig Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I've flown in and out of AUN more times than I can count. Great location. Great place to fly when the valley is socked in. Quote

Odysseyaeronautics Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 My name is David and I am the CFI at Odysseyaeronautics. We are just staring up but already have sold several blocks. The price on the website is an intro price to get started but will be going up a bit in the future. I don't keep up on this forum daily so refer any questions to the website. Quote

Odysseyaeronautics Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Hi folks, Bryce here. I run Odyssey Aeronautics and just wanted to pass out some information based on a lot of the questions we have received. I always put a CFI in the aircraft, this is not a straight up rental as many have asked. I absolutely offer instruction, just not initial. This is because people with at least a private have a better ability to fly multiple hours per day. We all remember how tiring 1 flight hour was initially vs after 100 hours. Our rates are designed to still be way beneficial to those from all over the country even when factoring in travel and hotel costs. We do have a website you can check out, but I also recommend just giving us a call. Fly safe and be aware - cheers! Quote
