Hello everyone!

Im currently a UH-1Y Crew Chief serving in the Marine Corps. My plan if I am not selected by the Army WO program is to pursue a civilian flight career. I understand that the field is very competative and would like to know if Crew Chief flight hours, to include NVG hours, are at all valuble when applying for civil piloting positions.

I have over 1000hrs of NVG time as a non-pilot LE crew member (flight officer observer) that I kept track of over the years before I started flying. About all its good for is the fond memories. Of course, does that experience translate into now being a pilot? Heck yeah it does. But its doesn't count for anything loggable.
