lee122485 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Just wanting to see if anybody out there, who was an interservice transfer, can fill me in on the process of keeping your family covered with Tricare when you switch. Quote
BM1 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 There is a program for temporary coverage after you get discharged. In my case I'll be out of the reserves for a month before the next board convenes. It is expensive but worth it to not have a gap. I could reenlist but it just opens up more problems with getting another DD368 (navy took a while, im tired of being on their schedule when it comes to my career.) The tricare website should have all the info you need. It answered alot of my questions. Quote
DavidMH47 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I transfered from the Navy and when you transfer services there should be NO break in service. You have to set up your enlistment in the Army so that you are in the Army the day you get discharged from the Air Force, therefor, you have no break in service, pay, or benefits. Quote
