crownhaven Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 My first post. Looking to solve a mystery. Last night, about 9p, over Wilbur By The Sea, Florida, south of Daytona, north of Ponce Inlet, two unidentified helicopters were engaged in significant maneuvering that one could almost describe as dogfighting. High speed, low altitude, 300', navigation lights engaged. Would pass within 100 feet of each other, extremely close to a local cell tower. Your reporter is an ATP, currently flying for a major airline, former USMC flixed wing jet pilot, seen combat and other strange things but nothing beats this. Unfortunately, could not ID make of helos or further description. They would have been smaller than a Seahawk, etc. Any clues. 1 Quote
