RagMan Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 I've heard good things about the area. I'm just not sure about the size of the helicopter activity out towards that part of Florida. Looking to meet up with some VR fellas if at all possible when I get out there and situated. Putting in a backyard heli pad you say? What type aircraft do you own? Quote

Jaybee Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Not much to tell, my brother works at Patrick AFB and lives just down the road, I would stop by and hang out, talk to Mark for hours every time I was over that way. We did the employment dance for a while but I got lucky and scored a job at home. Mark seemed like a very nice guy to me, best of luck. Quote
Dreamin of a Commuter 2B Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I am putting in a back yard pad, as I already have about 6 friends in Florida that have helicopters, so will be nice if they want to drop in. I hope to get the Hillman Hornet rebuilt soon, but my A&P is not the fastest guy in the world, but he is very good at what he does. I am still a Student pilot, but have not flown in awhile, where I am now I would have to drive about 60 miles for flight training. thats one thing I look forward to in Florida, is it is a helicopter Friendly state.
