Ever wonder how military pilots prep for joint missions?

I was recently embedded with US Army National Guard helicopter units during training exercises. This video is a supplement to a written & photo feature published in the October 2014 issue of Rotorcraft Pro Magazine. Apaches were from the UTANG 1st Attack Helicopter Battalion, 211th Aviation Regiment. Black Hawks were from the CANG 1st Assault Helicopter Battalion, 140th Aviation Regiment.

BE SURE TO CHECK OUT BEHIND THE SCENES SHOTS AT END OF VIDEO

We had fun and learned a lot while shooting and editing this piece. Hope you find it interesting.

If only it was that glamorous in real life.

Quoted for emphasis.

Just the quick blip of the CAR made my stomach churn.
