shainbourassa
Long time fan of these threads, some good/not so good information out there.I have a general question for the group.I just recently finished my packet (about 5 days after the filing deadline) and wanted to know how much weight NCOER's and 1059's hold in the selection process? The problem with trying to figure out what parts of your packet hold more weight is that it really all depends on who is boarding with you. IE. If you're the only one boarding and your not a complete screw up you'll get selected, if 10 are boarding with 10 seats available and no one is a complete screw up once again you will all get selected. Now there is no telling what the person who is in front of you has in their packet. another aspect that they will come into play is if they have to make an OML. AF2WO
You and me both, brother. I feel like the ringleader of a dysfunctional circus.  You telling me... I went to "H" status on 1 December. Which email box should I ask on my status? or should I just email the SFC that told me that my status went to "H". Creep0321
What is H status? Â I just called the WO recruiter for my region, didn't answer, so I called one from another region and within 2 minutes they were able to tell me the status on my package.

I will call on Monday then. Thanks Creep0321
Beck0321
I'd love to be in H status, even. I submitted my SWO LOR with a hand signature. Resent it Tuesday.
AF2WO
Found out today I am in "P" status. at the proponent to see if it will be competitive. I didn't ask when it got there. If I don't get anything back by email I will call next Monday.

AF2WO
Man, what is P status? Is that before being "board ready"? Yea its the last step before board ready. You can either move forward or regress.
Creep0321
Gotcha, I did not realize there were all these different statuses, I just assumed it was either, board ready, or not. Seems like the Army is a little more organized there then the Marine Corps.
AF2WO
Less than 30 days guys. Spoke with the southern recruiter on Friday. Still in "P" status. He told me that I will probably be like that for a while. He said they like to hold on to the packages until near the board date. told me to call back on the 29th. He asked me if I was a 153A, told him yes. He said they have about 200 applicant. The hold overs from November are in those numbers. If I could take leave until the 12th I would. USCav19D
So Ft. Campbell is frontloading me for my physical, I go in on the 29th of December. Cutting it close... Anyone know when the cutoff is for street-to-seat types?

USCav19D
sh*t that really is razor's edge.  And street-to-seat boards only run concurrently with in-service ones? My recruiter better get his head in the game and get my BN board lined up, or I'm going to end him. After screwing up my physical appointment he better not f**k this up too.

problemchild
Thanks for the heads up on the new Forum, Creep...Kidding man. I'm never on here enough and I really hope it doesn't hold me back. I feel like the useful info only comes from these forums.Since I am HOPEFULLY submitting here in a week or so, I SHOULD be on January's board as well. I guess I'll repost my stats with updates. Age: 30 GT: 118 (as of 2004)SIFT: 54 (I studied the wrong math)APFT: Still haven't officially run one...I'm going to the local recruiter here this week. Should have trained a little for it still...Civilian Education: 49 credit hours with a 3.8 GPA (Weak, but I barely have time to take courses.)Flight physical: Complete and stamped.Conditional Release: SignedMilitary Experience: I am an AD Marine with 9 years TIS (active), 2 years TIG. 2 deployments to Iraq, 1 MEU. LOR's: Should be in hand by the end of the week, hopefully the CWO will be by next week.Waivers:  PRK Eye Surgery MIC (2004, prior to enlisting)DUI (2005, prior to enlisting) ZERO incidents with alcohol since. Other info: I have quite a few Marine specialty schools and qualifications (that don't qualify me any more as a pilot). I am currently an instructor of my MOS, and essentially the platoon sergeant of my portion of training. Fears: I'm really, like REALLY worried these waivers are going to shut me down quick. I don't know what to write in them in order to convey to the board that I am not that kid anymore. I'm just hoping my resume speaks to my maturity since the incidents. Best of luck to everyone, and thanks for all the great info. Way more than the ringing phone I get when I try to contact my recruiter. How did your waivers go? I got a DQ for a moral waiver a couple months ago (sounds bs to me it happened before the USMC when I was 17) but their words were nobody with a moral waiver was going to a board. So I'll try a year from the DQ date
MarkJenkins89!
How's it going everyone. I am fully Approved and "BOARD READY" for the Jan 2015 board. Age: 25GT: 112SIFT: 58APFT: 248. Kind of weak... I submitted with a 275 but it wasn't within 6 months so had to redo it and weather was crappy so didn't do that great.. Civilian Education: 26 credit hours with a 4.0 GPA Flight physical: Complete and stamped.Military Experience: Active Army with 3 years TIS, WLC Grad, and Assist. Shift Supervisor, with TS/SCI clearance LOR's: O-3 (company commander) , O-5 (Battalion Commander), and CW4 UH-60 Test Pilot from 12th Av. BN.Waivers: NONEÂ I know my chances are not that great but won't know unless you apply and see for yourself..

It's been 2 weeks since I received word that I was past the first stage of review. If you don't mind me asking...what was the offense and how long ago was it?I have a feeling I'm going to be in the same boat as you though. I'm not giving up though.. I got 7 months left and I'm submitting the day my year is up! If you need anything lemme know, I just got PCS orders to Lejeune. That does sound pretty ridiculous to be such a major issue, especially while under age. I'm sure it was all in good fun...The waiver I submitted for my MIC is actually now expired. As of today, any inquiry, excluding government TS clearance or greater, into the offense is not disclosed. When I originally submitted I didn't expect it to take this long for the waivers to be reviewed. Hopefully they look into it, find nothing, and simply dismiss the information...hopeful but unlikely. Personally in my platoon I'd rather have a kid with a troubled past that changed vice a perfect kid that never made a mistake in his life. But that's just me I guess. Also I've noticed a lot of changes the Army is doing lately so you might be fine. (in keeping up with the new Army stuff at least 2-3 times a week) just remember your not out of the fight until you get a letter, even then it's only a waiting game! USCav19D
I'd rather have a good soldier with a troubled past than a shitty soldier with a perfect past. Funny thing is, that's typically how it goes. Or at least that what I've been noticing lately.
