Politicians need to keep their nose out of restructuring. Congress approves the divestment of the OH 58, and then blocks a main component of the plan by blocking the transfer of the 64. Leaving AD Army Aviation down an entire airframe with nothing to take it's place. The two Reserve Aviation units have already begun the transfer and transition training for their pilots. This makes very little sense, but when does politics ever make any sense.

That should be an interesting report.

I would have thought they would have asked for that report when they OK'd the divestiture of the OH-58 in the first place. Of course the plan that was OK'd by Lawmakers included the transfer of the Apache, It wasn't til later they decided, under pressure, to block that part of the plan.....so now they're worrying about Army Aviation.....Could DC be any more screwed up....wait don't answer.
