Eaglegrad07 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 First you will need to talk to a recruiter to convey your interest. This might be the hardest part of the process if you are seeking an AD WOFT slot. Most recruiters will do very little to help as they are accustomed to getting any warm body in their chairs for enlistment. You might want to shop around and find a recruiter that is newer to the game and still has the HOOAH feeling about their position. You need a recruiter to schedule SIFT testing, Flight Physicals, and your Boards. I went the National Guard route but had experience dealing with the AD recruiters prior to enlisting in the Guard. Creep0321 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 The only thing you need a recruiter for if you are AD is to sign off on your DD368. Everything else is on you. And possibly to monitor your APFT depending on where you are stationed. Also, it appears you are looking for a lot of help without doing much reading/research on your own, you posted almost an identical question earlier. That will not get you far in this process. Just my opinion, good luck. 1 Quote
apacheguy Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Isn't there an FL ARNG aviation battalion in Jacksonville? Quote

I will do a better job of looking though the fourms, so I wont make a fool of myself. Thank you for your help I appreciate it. Quote

Creep0321 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I would study for the SIFT while OCONUS and take it upon return. You can also download the rest of the forms you will need for the packet and begin filling out the generic stuff, as well as your resume. Once you pass the SIFT then knock out the flight physical, and route your DD368. Once that's done wrap everything else up and get it ready to present to a senior WO to try to get an LOR and get his John Hancock on the checklist. Quote

It should be easy to find, that's where Demi Moore went to SEAL school. The base commander likes to jog between the Apaches with a cigar in his mouth. 3 Quote
