Ejones Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I ship June 1st to Fort Jackson. Prime time for some good humid PT. When do you plan on heading to Rucker? Quote

Eaglegrad07 Posted April 27, 2015 Author Posted April 27, 2015 I went to Jackson in October of '13. Glad I didn't have the summer there. My orders show my WOCS date at Rucker for 19 AUG. Quote

Eaglegrad07 Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 I'm at Rucker, halfway doneYamer, when you finished WOCS, did they require you to take another flight physical even if your last Guard flight physical was within the same year? Quote
Yamer Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Yes, it's during bolc/WOBC. The one prior to wocs is part of the testing process to see if you can pass it. The one here at Rucker is the real deal and does a few extra tests. Quote

I had the Titmus with my flight physical here and I was not able to see all of the blurs in the squares. I passed the test but I'm hoping they did not short-change me on results thus setting me up for failure at Rucker. It would suck to get that far through the program and get eliminated by that test. Yamer Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I have no idea... Here they have optometrists in office so do your best and if you fail a portion of the exam, they have the doctor look in your eyes and measure and test you manually instead of by machine. I failed the part that tests to see if your eyes are pointed in the same direction. Apparently I'm off by 4 whatevers and the allowable is 6 whatevers... But the read the card forehead push machine had me failing so he measured me manually and found out yes I failed but I am within limits... Then came yet another dilation... This time with big boy army chemicals instead of clinical public stuff. I cried like a girl it burned so bad... Quote

It was pretty quick, didn't even take 5 minutes. Quote
Eaglegrad07 Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 I had Lasik so I'm no stranger to the eye pain. I think I should be fine then. My surgeon did all of the tests in regards to pressure and measurements after my procedure and all checked out so I feel a little better about it now. Quote
Ejones Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Do you have family coming with you to Rucker? No family to bring with Eagle, I'm packing light. Quote
Eaglegrad07 Posted May 11, 2015 Author Posted May 11, 2015 And I thought packing up the wife and the dog were light... I guess you will be coming with just your CIF issued gear. Quote
Ejones Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Traveling light is the way to go! Coming from Mississippi is a bit closer than Arizona as well... Quote
