Interested in starting heli flight training In California

Recommended Posts

I am in California, Los Angeles area about 20 mins from van nuys and 30 or so from Ventura area as well. I want to start a career flying but am wondering what are good training facility's that would be recommended. Also what would you think would be invested cost to actually start a career. I am not a wealthy individual but would be truly invested if the opportunity is out there. What are the best ways to build time I see a lot of people charge for you to gain flight time. What are other ways to gain flight time volunteer wise if any. I am trying to gain as much info as possible before I dive in so any and all would be great thank you guys. Also if I left any questions I may need to know that would be great as well.

You are looking at around 80k - 100k for training. It will take a few years to finish training and a few years of teaching at poverty pay. So maybe 6 years until you make a livable wage. This can be done shorter or longer, depends mostly on you and luck. Dig around, every question you have is answered on here.

Also might want to post this in the flight training forum and not the ferry flight forum....
