Whistlerpilot
The death toll has now reached 5000 in the aftermath of the 7.8 earthquake in Nepal. At least 18 were killed at Mt Everest base camp when the quake triggered an avalanche which hit base camp during the busy climbing season. Helicopters have been crucial in evacuating injured to medical aid. Many remote mountain villages have been devasted and helicopter's are the only means of access. Many many thousands of survivors are now homeless. Nepal is one of the poorest asian countries with a weak ineffective government. The epicentre in the remote mountain Gurkha area has left some villages with almost all the houses levelled. I am appealing to my helicopter brethern to donate to any of the several international aid organizations which are helping in this humanitarian disaster. http://www.thestar.com/news/world/2015/04/28/nepal-earthquake-helicopters-ferry-injured-from-remote-villages-as-pm-says-death-toll-could-hit-10000.html http://news.yahoo.com/latest-nepal-under-rubble-man-says-drank-urine-050942495.html http://www.outsideonline.com/1912276/giving-everest-bird
