I want to fly a Bell 47

Recommended Posts

I have over 2000 hours fix wing and my dream is to fly a Bell 47 'Whirlybird'. I'm not looking to obtain a H license - just want to be able to take off, hover, complete a circuit and land - dual of course.

I live in the UK, retired and looking to fulfill a boyhood dream before hanging up my goggles.

Be interested in hearing from anyone who can help.

By the time you pay the UK prices with their high VAT, etc. you could probably have a nice two week vacation over here for the same money. Mission accomplished.

You're right. Just found out that the guys over here charge nearly £640 p/hr. I think a flying holiday stateside looks increasingly attractive. Better get my suitcase dusted and ready!

You can also check with Mike over in Chino, Ca. I know how you feel though, I always wanted to fly a 47, and I'm glad I put 10 hours on one...
