ChrisPBacon Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Hi everyone,I am a junior enlisted soldier (MOS 68A). I want to become an Army Pilot. I have a college degree, and I have good GT (132) and SIFT scores (71). However, I am only 5'2'', and I wear glasses. What are my chances of getting selected? I do not know any pilots or anybody in the aviation branch because I work at a hospital. Thank you. Quote
Brian101193 Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 I believe 5'4" is the cutoff, but it might be possible to get a waiver if your legs and arms are long enough. Quote
Lindsey Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Is there a flight surgeon at your hospital you can ask? In the end it comes down to your anthropomorphic measurements. If you don't meet those, then you'll have to do an In-Cockpit Evaluation in each of the four, I mean, three (ugh) airframes and prove you can reach the important bits. You can reference AR 40-8, I believe Chapter 4, and look for specific anthropomorphic measurement cutoffs. 1 Quote
