dreampilot Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out. My dream has always been to become a helicopter pilot in the Army. However fairly recently I've had a few seizures at night. They only happen at night, and even then tend to be only after pulling a long shift such as Staff Duty. I've been putting off seeing a doctor because I'm not sure if this will kill my dreams yet or not. I've read online where some cases they will let you remain in the military if they put you under control. Not only do I want to fly, but I am going on 9 years TIS. As I said earlier it only happens when I'm sleeping and even then rarely. Just wondering if maybe anyone has heard anything about this. Thanks for any help! Quote
Luofynerd Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Are you certain they're seizures? And not another sleep related disorder..I've never heard of someone only having seizures when they were awake. Either way, I would still go see a doctor..What if you didn't go, and your seizures got worse? Quote
SBuzzkill Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 You have seizures at night and you haven't seen a doctor? Dude, get your ass to the doc. Quote
Gilberto_Farthing Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 I really not able to understand that why you haven't seen a doctor yet? Please go for it as soon as possible. To achieve your dream, you must have to...... Quote
Dmurray Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 What Buzzkill said. That could be a serious problem man. Take care of yourself. Quote
dreampilot Posted January 9, 2016 Author Posted January 9, 2016 I think part of it is like denial. I'll have to force myself to actually go. I got almost 9 years in now and really wanting to make this a career, and retire at 37. Plus I'm married and virtually no money saved up, so would hate to be forced out of the Army right now. All of that on top of my dream job. I appreciate the input. Quote
