FutureCandidate
Wanted to wish you all good luck on this WOFT board, I am 18 years old looking around all these selection boards from the past years and into this current board. Thinking about applying for WOFT one day after I complete my degree in biblical studies because I have an itch for aviation that needs to be scratched at some point in my life and it seems WOFT guys do too. I wish you all the best!
sam7
That's a pretty quick turn around. Good luck everyone!
Gramps
FYI, that's for applicants through the civilian WOFT program. The Active Duty July 2016 selection board list didn't come out until the following Friday.

steve0
Selected! I feel so relieved. I asked what the overall results where, how many applicants, how many accepted. But my recruiter wasn't in the office when he called so he couldn't pull of the info.

Jconn87
I have 7 days to swear in!! Woo Hooo. Never give up guys. I had a 44 sift score, 116 gt score, But I think my letters of rec really helped! So excited. You are making me feel good about my chances now, 113 GT with a 41 SIFT. However I am hoping my NCO experience + 1059's, NCOER's, LOR's, and my degree make up for those two categories. Thank you for posting that you made it with that score, its very encouraging for others like you.
steve0
I'm curious to see how many applied this month. Based on forum activity alone, the July thread had like almost 30 pages. This month we are barely on page 4.

Airborne38
Anybody have a solid guess when the active duty list will be put out?
johnhenry
July's was several days after the civilian list came out.
Airborne38
So i would assume no earlier than next week then..darn. Puts alot of stock in the assumption that civilians take precedence
MuffinMan
So i would assume no earlier than next week then..darn. Puts alot of stock in the assumption that civilians take precedenceIt's also a lot easier to release a list when there were only a handful (20-30 typically) of civilian applicants compared to well over 100 AD applications.. my civilian board only has 23 apply and 20 seelcted
Mr.Tickles
Not to mention the civilian list doesn't go onto milper. I imagine that has to go thru several levels of reviewers before HRC will post the list to milper. Not that it makes waiting any easier. johnhenry
Anybody other civilians, besides me, still waiting to hear?
steve0
Call your recruiter and tell him to call and find out. I already swore in today. On top of things. Ship off to basic December 27
johnhenry
Oh I already called. took all day but he called back a couple hours ago and asked when a good time for the commander to call me would be. I'm going to take that as a FQ-S. you going to Ft. Jackson?
steve0
Yeah, Jackson. I wish I could have gotten an earlier shipping date. Im ready to go!
johnhenry
Officially SELECTED!! Just got off the phone with the Colonel. Feelsgoodman. Can't go to the meps until next wednesday. I think the January WOCS class filled up. The last couple guys of the July board got a Dec ship date to catch the next WOCS class in March. Just hope wednesday isn't too late to catch that one. I don't mind waiting for December. I got a kid coming next month.
