Active to Reserve question

Is the ADSO a strict 10 years, or are you able to slide into a guard or reserve slot earlier?

 

I am AD Air Force on terminal leave  

 

I have a fixed wing PPL and attending helicopter flight school full time. 
 

I would like to fly Army, but not a full 10 years on AD.  If that’s the only way I’ll just continue with school and fly civilian the whole time.

You can go straight into the reserves. I think it’s the same 10 year adso but yea all reserves. Same way the AF does it but a lot slower and with more pointless tasks in between

Btw, flight WO's after retirement can join now NG or AR.
