holovision Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 Hello everyone, After reading about the tragic plane helicopter crash in Washington, I was shocked by how difficult night-flying conditions can be for helicopter pilots, especially in low-visibility and high-risk environments. This led me to start researching the challenges of nighttime helicopter operations, particularly for military and rescue pilots who fly in complex and unpredictable situations. Through this research, I've been exploring an idea for an AI-enhanced night vision and augmented display system that could help improve situational awareness, reduce pilot fatigue, and enhance navigation during difficult night flights. However, before moving forward, I want to ensure this concept is valuable to those who fly in real-world conditions. I would love to speak with active-duty or veteran military, rescue, or law enforcement pilots to hear their perspectives. If you've had experiences flying at night in challenging conditions, I'd appreciate a quick chat to get your feedback. If you're open to sharing your thoughts, please comment here or send me a direct message. Your insights would be invaluable in validating whether this idea addresses real operational challenges. Looking forward to hearing from you! Thanks, Holovision 1 Quote
