fulldownauto
Hi, I'm thinking of flying my CBi to a spot (off airport, no facilities) that would require startup at about 6500' density altitude. The fuel injected ship is setup for starts at sea level, and I've never had a problem getting it started, starts every time I push the button. But I've had other injected engines give me trouble before so I'm a bit leery about shut down and startup up at this higher altitude. Should I expect problems getting started or is the CBi's injection system solid up to there? Would shutting down in a remote place like this with an injected engine be inadvisable? I've been to the spot before in carbed ships and haven't had any problems with the start. Thanks, James
RockyMountainPilot
I regularly start a 300C at DA's of 6,000 - 9,000 feet with no problems. Worse cause is that you would have to perform a hot start.
