Worldcrime
Hello, I'm compiling a list of any pre-flight procedures that are used in addition to the ones on the Robinson checklist. Any contributions would be appreciated and we could all learn something in the process. Thanks One of mine : Run your hand down the underside of the tailboom. Some times a tail rotor gear box leak will be found in this manner. I've heard of the fluid pooling under the ship some distance from the tail rotor gearbox. Thanks
warpig
i always make it a habit to check the plugs that are accessible with my hand. one time one was loose. and i always check the tailboom above the scroll fan with my knuckles making sure clearance remains the same and that no one has landed hard and buckled the boom. also i tap the fairing around the scroll fan to make sure that its not rubbing and ensure there is a small gap.
