OceanPaddler
Does anyone have a web site the shows information on the Safety record of various schools in Canada? I'm looking into starting with Greatslave Helicopters in Calgary later this year, does anyone have experience with them?
nbit
One of their students was involved in a accident near southeast of Wandering River, Alberta in a Hughes/Schweizer 300C this last summer. It was supposed to be due to a mechanical failure, which is their claimed reason for getting rid of all their piston fleet and going turbine only training.... ...To help maintain a spotless safety record. So you are planning on spending ~$100K for their training course? ...And the presumed guaranteed job? The forums in http://www.verticalmag.com/ would be a better place to ask your question. It is a major gathering place for Canadian helicopter types... Edited January 9, 2006 by nbit
