Heli-Ops Posted July 18, 2002 Posted July 18, 2002 There has been a lot of talk around about CRM, good and bad comments. What is the opinion of members of this forum regarding crew resource management. Heli Ops Quote
Guest CaptREChappell Posted July 18, 2002 Posted July 18, 2002 When used correctly it is pure magic......kinda gets back to my pre-CRM "One dissenting vote rule." If crews work together....and use a harmonious work environment....in and out of the cockpit....good things begin to happen. Shame we cannot get management to buy into the benefit of adopting CRM concepts into their management styles. Think how much better the helicopter industry would be then? Quote
Guest chprbob Posted August 30, 2002 Posted August 30, 2002 CRM is the cornerstone of safe multi-crew operations. The days of the PIC being the end-all be-all, making unassisted autonomous decisions that affect an entire crew should have gone by the wayside many years ago. Once in a while you find someone that just hasn't been "adjusted", and it is a true disservice to the individuals having to operate with them. CRM and MRM (Maintenance Resource Management) are a change in mindset that needs to occur across the entire aviation workplace. Quote
