Just wondering what age is the oldest pilot you've met or heard of still working with a valid medical.

There's a gent in Ontario flying the air ambulance that's 75! Seen and done it all. B)

Sad that we have to keep working after 55!

 

The rotary industry has little structure and the pilots rarely can afford superannuation, so they gotta work till they drop. Their plankie mates can retire with a squillion dollars.

 

But helicopter pilots have more fun. :P

We have a guy in Southwest Ohio at 82 still instructing, by his choice. I think he is a 28 or 29 thousand hour guy.

Yeah I'm pretty sure money isn't what's making these guys fly. They, like us, love the sky and will be there until they fail their medical most likely. B)
