CFLweiland
I am looking to make a career change, and have always wanted to fly. I grew up around helicopters my whole life, my father flew UH-1's in the ARMY. I went into the Airforce, and got caught up in life and Kids, and passed some oportunities by. Now I want to get back to my dream of flying, but have been told to not waste my time on Helicopters, and fly fixed wings......I'm 40 , and am wondering if it would take too long ( flying/training part time) to really start a career??? Anyones productive comments?

Guest rookie101
Check the FAQ for topics on age, there is a section in there titled AGE ISSUES. Check the career change thread that isn't even three days old. Keep looking around for topics that deal with the length of training (the avg. is 12-18 months, but some have done it in 10, I even think someone in here said they did it in 6). Don't be shy about using the search feature either.
Witch
I'm 44 and flying. I figure I'll quit my present job in about two years and then be poor. Later.
