Never a truer word said, and all on the camera!

 

I agree, I started instructing and then onto commercial work, but I still enjoy instructing, it teaches you things we can all easily become complacent about. I'm a firm believer that flying commercially is very different to instructing - but striking a balance between the two is good. It can only improve the ADM process and therefore make the humble helo pilot a better pilot all-round! I'm sure the guy in the clip was sorry after the crash (and with new-found religion!), but it's the dickheads like him that drive the insurance up on the whole helo market, which is bad for all, in 100's of different ways - we ALL pay for that.
