are there any super speedy longe range helicopters?

Has any helicopter company in the world created a copter that's big, with seating for 4 or 6 people including pilots. cruise speed of 450mph, able to fly up and cruise up to 41,000 feet, hover up to 35,000 feet, able to fly for 1500 miles range.

 

Is there anything like this on the planet?

Most helicopter companies have made something big enough for 4-6 people. Bell, Agusta, Enstrom, MD, Schweizer, Sikorsky, Robinson and Eurocopter all have them.

Nope, this is physically not possible.....blade speed on retreating blade would be too low, blades would stall. Blade speed on advancing side would be higher than speed of sound, creating tremendous vibrations and friction.

I guess the Eurocopter AS-350 hovered on the summit of Mt. Everest a while back, thats the highest I've heard of. However for normal operations this is not productive since helicopters are used more for short range stuff. (would be a waste to climb 30.000 feet to go 50NM)

If you have enourmous fuel tanks you could. But that means more weight, which takes more power to carry, which burns more fuel, which means bigger tanks, which means more weight to carry....you get the picture!

Basically no!!!!

Remember airplanes and helicopters serve two totally different missions. Airplanes takes people from A to B....helicopters do low level, slow flight jobs that are in places you cannot get too with any other equipment. Or they take people from A to B when B is not suited for airplanes (oil rigs and helipads etc)

Yeh, Its called the Bell Osprey.

No, the Osprey can't match that performance. Won't go that fast, can't hover at that altitude. And the Osprey isn't a helicopter, either.
