New U2 and Green Day video

The video is on MTV.com, if you can manage to find it.

It's a political statement. They are saying that the government’s response to hurricane Katrina was inadequate. They are saying that the government should have redeployed troops from Iraq to respond with humanitarian aid.

As far as I know, a harrier couldn’t sling a load. An apache would be able to if you installed a hook and release system. That in itself is a statement. Has to do with fighter aircraft saving lives, rather than taking them, but I'm not really sure how to articulate the message right now. They show various fighters and bombers dropping supplies, all CG I might add, for the victims of the hurricane in New Orleans.

I didn't know Apache's could hoist or that Harriers could carry a sling load. I guess they thought the HH65's, -47's, and -60's weren't sexy enough...or it was a political statement.

And B-2's can airdrop cargo. COOL!

Yeah, I'd like to see a fully armed Apache do hoisting ops and Harriers carry 12 tons of sandbags. I don't think the Pegasus could handle that load.

Can't say I totally agree with you on that. Nothing wrong with being liberal ;)

True, there is nothing wrong with being liberal.

Nothing wrong with being conservative.

Bono is typical Hollywood-

Now that he's made millions and become a celebrity selling U2 albums he thinks we're interested in his political point of view. Next thing you know he'll be running for governor of California.
