How good is your helicopter hand/eye coordination?

Recommended Posts

First off, let me apologize to all of you for this addicting game (you won't get anything done at work now). This is a good hand/eye training device for you students to learn how to hover, sling, watch out for trees, talk to tower, and eat a candy bar... all at the same time.

yup, addicting. i'm not sure about the 18sec genius rating, though. Who decided that and is it meant to be on your first try? B/c I got 19.5sec within my first 15 tries, averaged 17sec in my first 30 and while I know I have athletically honed hand-eye coord, I'm no genius! :)

This game is very addicting for sure. My best time so far is 24.9 sec.

Maybe this will become a tournament?

Blessings,

Well, YEAH for you all!!!

As for me, it's officiall! I'm NOT a genius (but I've suspected this for a number of years now).

Excuse me while I go brush-up on my quantum physics...

Who am I kidding, I'm going to go watch t.v. and try to salvage what self-respect I have left after those dawm squares made a fool out of me...

LMAO ^

I got 25 secs myself. I find it amazing that pokey got a 93. That something I would just have to see with my own eyes to believe. Incredible.

the speed of the computer is an interesting factor.

I have gotten in the 90's more than once, 80's a few times.

I tried to see what my fastest "crash time" could be: 0.5 if i try, 0.88 (consistantly) if i just let puter take over.

Someone else care to try & see what/if it makes a difference?

BTW i am using a 500mhz pentium, on a dial up w/ a speed of: 49.3k

tried again for fastest "crash time" now down to 0.11

w/out trying : 0.66 (consistantly)

still can get consistantly in the high 80's tho

would be nice if we know we are comparing apples to oranges tho,,,,,

just got 146.16 ! (is the hand quicker than the mouse?)

Hmmmm....

I wonder if PC performance does make a difference. Either that is a yes, or I am in complete denial. I cant quite get past 35. I am on a dual xeon graphics workstation with 2gb ram and a 512mb graphics card. Full T1 line for access. After about 15 seconds that thing really starts to move.

I thought I would be an ace with all of the late 70's Atari "Asteroids" time in my logbook. Especially since the spaceship in asteroids slides and requires more coordination with thrusters and all. You had to really learn to flare that thing just right!

Ok, so I just re-read that paragraph. I should be certified GEEK at this point. My apologies. Great tool / timewaster though. Thanks!
