KMWK
Not sure if this is where someone got my e-mail, but just so you know. I had a Gmail account that I use to register just about everywhere I go on the net. I started getting e-mails and calls from people in my address book on my private e-mail wondering why I was sending them nasty e-mails. This was even after I had deleted the account. I changed the e-mail address for every place I can remember and have hidden it where possible. I know of hackers that cloak their identity by using other's e-mail addresses. Just wondered if this had happend to anyone else? Trust me, people in your address book don't appreciate nasty e-mails from someone they know. More so, people in your address book that you may have sent resumes to..............YIKES!
West Coaster
Heard of a virus some time ago that got into your email and fired off a ugly letter to every contact you had in there. Could be the same thing. Not sure what anti virus you run but I'd go with AVG just in case.
KMWK
Thanks WC..........I had heard of that one, but I thought it effected Outlook. I contacted Google to see if what they could find out what the deal was. So far, "we're looking in to it". Gmail, being web based e-mail may be easier to hack than Outlook with good antivirus, which I have. Hard to say, but if I find out something that might effect others, I'll be sure to post it. Thanks again, Gary
Linc
hotmail was notorious for being easily hacked.
gmsemel
No I have not had the problem you are having, then again I am an OS X user. Go Mac and you don't have to put up with all the PC viruses and an ISP that scans and blocks that junk. Copper.net is real good at filtering out that stuff and a good bit of the spam too. I block evey thing with a hotmail and yahoo address as a matter of policy. To many people with to much time on there hands.
KMWK
Found out this morning that it is an old nemesis of mine that I have had problems with in the past. He takes issue with my nonprofit organization and has done this before. Given the fact that he is a IT specialist I am not surprised. Expose yourself by giving out too much information was my mistake. I don't think it will happen again and it was isolated, so I don't think anyone else has to worry. I guess even when your efforts are for good things, someone will always object.

KMWK
Yes it is. The problem is that Google will have a file the complaint in conjunction with the one I will file. I'm still waiting to hear back as to who I file the complaint with. Should know soon. Thanks, Gary Just found out. It's the FTC that handles internet fraud complaints. I'm on it!
