Hey Aussie, drop me an email, nsdqjr@hotmail.com and I'll hook you up with my cousin. He's a CFI at a flight school right there in Broomfield.

Hey Aussie,

From my personal experience, I would stay far far away from Rotor of the Rockies (http://www.rotorsoftherockies.com/). Very unprofessional, and the instructors I flew with weren't very good.

I have no direct experience with Premier helicopters (http://www.premierheli.com/), but the guy who runs it isn't the most friendly. I know several people very unhappy with them.

Rocky Mountain Rotorcraft (http://www.rockymountainrotorcraft.com/) has only one helicopter, but they are looking to get a second. They use Enstroms which are better than the 300C's Rotors of the Rockies use, and better than R22 Premier uses, but not as good as an R44 at these altitudes. I know who does the maintenance on these Enstroms, and I am very comfortable with him and his company (Vector Air). He doesn't let anything slide.

I have no knowledge of Elite Helicopters, but I know they are new. They have a Fly-it simulator which could save you a great deal of money in the long run.

I think your best bet is to go to all the schools and interview them individually to see who you like the best. It is your money in the end, so even if someone says that one school sucks, it still might be worth it to check them out.

Good luck,

C.J.
