Guest rookie101 Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Hello all. In the most recent of Family Guy episodes Stuy and Brian embarked on another adventure after Brian accidentally sold Rupert, Stuy's stuffed bear, in a garage sale. Brian eventually fessed up after lying to Stuy about what had happened to Rupert. The pair tracked down the man who had bought Rupert only to find that he had moved to Colorado, Aspen more specifically. After hitching rides and making there way to the Rockies they realize they cannot get over the mountains. They go to a local airport to rent a helicopter. The cost is $10 bucks an hour with a $100,000 dollar deposit. To pay for it you can either use a credit card, cash or a "jaunty tune" i.e. song and dance. Now this got me thinking. What is it that you would do to get a lower rental rate, even something like $100 bucks an hour. Keep it civil because there are some pretty desperate helo pilots out there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YXXCms2HzYThe above link is to the concerned episode. The scene I had described starts at 2:04 and goes to 2:34. Quote
nicepants Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I would fight another student pilot, gladiator style. lol ok not really. But if I could find a helicopter owner with an appetite, I'd offer to be a personal chef if that meant a hefty discount on my hourly rate. Quote
