mechanic Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Heard that Rotorway announced at Heli Expo it was thinking about certifying the 162F. I wonder if they will have to replace the tailrotor drive belts with a driveshaft? They were estimating the helicopter to be around $135,000.00. Curious what you think about the little Rotorway? If certified, It could lower the training costs for new pilot ratings.... Quote
67november Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 (edited) they first need a certified powerplant before they can even get anywhere. Edited March 7, 2007 by 67november Quote
DeltaMikeCharlie Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 they first need a certified powerplant before they can even get anywhere. If my memory serves me right the Hummingbird has a better chance of certification. The rotorway would be in the shop before and after every flight to be adjusted. Quote

brushfire21 Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 It is kinda of sexy compared to the 22/300's right now. A little bit of a JR and 500 combined in my personal opinion. Quote

FlyNHighNFast Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Check this helicopter coming to Canada.http://www.helicopro.com/ That looks scarier than the 162. I wouldn't mind owning a Gazelle, that's the helicopter I've been in love with since I was a kid. Quote
