franky17 Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 My company is thinking about getting some night vision stuff set up, when I say set up I a mean training and re current traning (if there is such a thing). So that brings me to my question , how many of you actually use night vision, like the night vision, or interested in getting tranied in it? Also maybe its a deal where you get your employer to fork up some bucks to get the pilot trained? Quote

Your pilots will never look at night flying the same again. Quote

If I'm flying cross-country in a Cessna I prefer to go unaided and enjoy the stars. It would be nice to have NVG's when I get ready to land though Quote
dowd Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 :)What type of night vision is used in ems light enhansing or uv . ? What other types of helicopter flying uses night vision . ? And do you use light enhancing or uv? Quote

Linc Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Bell offers NVG training at their factory training facility. Quote
EAGLE1 Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 ASU inc. also provides the equipment and training. I am flying the Litton 4149's. They are awesome. I would not want to fly at night without them. They are truly amazing when used properly after competent training. They do have limitations and you have to respect them or they can get you into a situation you might not be able to get out of. I am still learning as I only have about 150 hours on the goggles, but so far they are truly amazing! I do not think they are available yet for part 91 operations but for 135 ops or public use you have a shot at flying the goggles. Quote
