I might be moving to either Toronto or Montreal so my wife can continue her education and I was wondering what is required for a maintenance license. I have my A&P here in the states, but can it be transferred somehow or must I test for it? I have 11 years of heli experience and don't want to be forced to work the drivethru at Burger King if I can't get a license!

an A&P does not transfer to a Cancdian license, you'll have to go thru their training program. IF you have all of your work on a/c documented you might be ahead of the game. there is an AME school in Thunder Bay, Ontario, there should be one in Toronto also, don't know for sure.

check out www.verticalmag.com for more details as that is a mostly Canadian site.

Sounds good, thanks for the help. What sort of a/c documentation will work? I've worked on various models, but don't really have anything that states I worked on this 206L or this EC-120 etc. The only real documentation I have is for the military side.
