Ahh-- let me think about that awhile. OK, I'm done. ABSOLUTELY. You have to start in a piston. You hav to be familiar and have min hours in pisotns...thats what you will be teaching in. Plus you get from 2-4 times the number of hours for the same cost..piston vs. turbine. I can think of a few hundred other reasons, but I think your friend is correct. Mixmaster Posted April 27, 2007 Report Share Posted April 27, 2007 Piston for sure. Try to get some 300 time and some R44 time and if possible a bit or turbine time as you reach that 1000 hrs.
