flight school in an Enstrom

Recommended Posts

I know that flying Robinson heles ar the norm in schools right but i found an instructer that i fill really good with however he will be teaching out of an enstrom. My question is how much will this effect me in finding a job after i get my CFII will this really hurt me or will i not really notice much diffrence in getting a job.

It won't hurt if you find an Enstrom flight school to teach at :P Robinson or Schweizer schools will definitely mean more opportunity later on when you start looking for work, simply because there are more of them out there. The Enstrom is a great ship, and you could always do your private and instrument rating in one, and build your commercial and cfi time in one of the more popular helicopters so you are more employable. If you feel really good about the instructor, then they should probably form the foundation of your flying, and I wouldn't just brush off a school because of the type of helicopter being flown. The first helicopter I ever flew was a Bell 47, and up until my instrument rating the majority of my time was in one.
