rotor wing Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Any thoughts on the different flight schools in Northern Utah? I and others have had problems with money disappearing with universal helicopters in central Utah. Quote
shanesplanet Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 I am at Utah Helicopter and have been a student at Upper Limit. What questions do you have?Shane Quote
KeallaS Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 It really depends on what you are looking for. There are plenty of "flight schools" in Utah and they will all tell you what you want to hear and they all have different approaches to training. I would seriously consider training at or near sea-level. Just a thought.Ask away... Quote
sky2 Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Take a look at SkyPark Helicopters. Very experienced instructors. Quote
KeallaS Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Wow! Another school already. At first I was speechless, really. Heli---pilot the choice will be easy now. Just pick the school that is located at the airport nearest to your residence in northern Utah. There will be flight training at every one from Logan to Spanish Fork.Where are all these students coming from? Quote
HelliBoy Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 (edited) High Destert Helicopters in Ogden. Russ is an honest man and his instructors are good. At least go for a demo with 'em Edited July 20, 2007 by HelliBoy Quote

Heli-cop Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Hi everybody! Post # 1 for me. I am also in Northern Utah and have been investigating different schools for the last several months. I'm looking hard at Upper Limit for several reasons...close to me, they say your funds are bonded and insured (not sure if this is unique, but no one else has said they do this), they say they're in the second stages of becoming accredited, and they're part 141 (from what I've read this doesn't seem to be a make or break factor though). I'm too much of a newb to have heard good or bad from people that have been to these schools (High Deseret and the others...), but I'd love to hear from anyone that has good and/or bad experiences from ULA, thanks guys!
