Hi everyone, this will be my first post here at VR and I'd like to say hi and thank everyone for all the great info that gets posted.

I have been reading along for a while now and got a lot of usefull info.

I am currently undergoing testing for the dutch airforce, if that would fail I would like to do a private helicopter school, or maybe I would pick a private school above the airforce, I'm still not sure what I would rather do.

I've been looking at a lot of info and talked to some dutch heli pilots that have trained at HAI and Hillsboro and an american pilot that trained at Hillsboro. Now I've got most questions answered but I still don't know if I should pick Hillsboro or HAI. My 1st choice would be HAI but I hardly read anything about this school anywhere, and I read a lot that Hillsboro is a very good school. Also when I compare the courses I believe HAI offers more training for the same amount of money unless I'm reading it completely wrong. My question basicly is if you would pick one, which of these 2 schools would you pick and why? Also which one of these school has more career opportunities when completed, Hillsboro has a fire fighting department, news choppers and more if I'm correct, and HAI also has a lot of different things.

I'm planning on visiting both schools for sure before picking one but any info is very welcome.

Thanks in advance.

So you're using the initials HAI to refer to Bristow Academy? Cause I'm flying out of Hillsboro in Oregon (and happy there) and we call it HAI I think it's short for Hillsboro Aviation Inc. Can't tell you anything about Bristow -- is it up here?

Hey,

I have been reading these forums since 02', I have always seen Hillsboro called just that, Hillsboro and HAI was Helicopter Adventures Inc, Titusville, FL, aka now Bristow Academy.

HAI also stands for Helicopter Assoc. Int., which sponsors Heli Expo XX' in a city near you. www.rotor.com
