The crash happened just after 8:10pm Thursday night. The pilot and a mechanic were evacuated by air, flown to the McCall Airport, then to the McCall Memorial Hospital.

After the emergency landing, both people aboard walked away and used the aircraft’s radio to signal for help. The helicopter did not catch fire.

It was an HTS 214. I beleive there the only company who operates the 214 in this line of work. I know of offshore companies using the 214, but aside from them HTS is the only other one. It sure is nice to hear everyone made it out in one piece, ashame to hear the helicopter didn't make it. It's always cool to see those things fly out around the Corvallis airport.
