I'm considering two different schools at this time to go from Private thru Commercial/CFII perhaps more? Can anyone give me feed back on either Los Angeles Helicopters in Long Beach, Ca or Celebrity Helicopters in Compton, Ca? Thanks in advance.

I replied under your other post...but in short...I know and have done biz with Mike from LA Helicopters, very upstanding guy. I know nothing good or bad about Celeb...If you haven't done a demo with LAH, you owe it to yourself to do one and compare.

I agree with Goldy, go and check out LA helicopters. I took intro flight with them recently and was impressed. I visited my fair share of schools and would put them right up at the top. Good luck

After reading your other post, since you're close to Torrance, look at PCH. I've been flying with them (not working for) for 4 years. PPL & comm.

2 r-22"s, and 1 r-44. Lots of time available. Very good instructors. Call and ask for Mick, chief inst., or any of the others, all very competent. Its a pay

as you go school, with a block rate discount. Good luck

Best advice would be to visit both of those schools & get a feel for them personally....

I 've done my PPL at LA Helicopters, and I am satisfied. One good point at LGB is that the training pads are on the field, so you can always practice whatever the weather is.

I began at Helistream at John Wayne Airport. These guys were nice, but I had to pay for X/C to go to LGB every time I wanted to fly, as there is no training pad on this field.

This is a point to consider!
