I have been thinking about this for a few years now, I would like to fly for any branch of the military as a reservist.

I have a full time job, 4 year college degree, 20/20 vision, good physical shape, but no flying or military experience

please help any information would be greatly appreciated

If you want to fly as a reservist and don't want to go active duty at all your choices are the Army Reserves/National Guard or the Air Force Reserves/National Guard.

 

The Navy and Marine Corps require that their pilots spend a stint on active duty before being able to transfer to the reserves.

I have also wanted to fly in the Military but I'm too old. Why is that? They will take someone with no experience but will not with someone with some experience.

Sorry, that is not a reserve program. The Coast Guard does not have a reserve aviation force.

Well, how old is too old? Services usually allow people to enter flight training up to around 27-29 years old. The services want young folks for a couple of reasons. They put you through rigorous training, and they don't want to have to get rid of your old bad habits.

Not to mention, the supposed Max age for the Army right now is what? 32/33 something like that... A good buddy of mine going through flight school was 39. He had 21 years in the Army, and got an age waiver.
