Went to do some ground today and heard that the bird I fly the mostest had crashed this morning. Someone else was getting a checkride way east of here and crashed. Both are alright from what little information I could gleam.

I wonder if the guy getting the checkride asked for a continuance?

Anyway, I'm gonna miss that machine. We have two others, but T seems underpowered, so I'm not too thrilled about flying it. It also seems a little stiff in the cyclic also. U on the other hand is a bit on the spunky side, but has that damn carb heat assist that drives me batty.

J was an awesome machine even though she was only a beta. We had great times flying to Mary's Peak and goofing around in the pattern at McNary. She'll be missed.

A memorial fund will be set up-my account-for donations in memory of this awesome machine.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. A good machine is hard to lose.

At least the people who were in the helicopter are ok. I've known two good people who were later killed in separate accidents. Believe me, when you hear news like that, the last thing that crosses your mind is mourning the machine.

BTW I liked the idea of the memorial fund.... in your account!

Glad everyone's alright, but geez. I know I'd feel pretty bad about it if my favorite heli (who is "only" a Beta as well) went down.

But at least she made sure her occupants were safe when she went down.
