X-C portion westward into the blinding setting sun, waiting for my turn in the pattern while everyone and their brother (fixed-wingers, gyros AND helis, jeesh!!) tried to get home before dark, one guy flyin' around with no radio and everyone trying to avoid him, shooting autos to the little red light on the wind sock 45min after sunset, slopes in the dark with the beloved, mesmorizing landing light. Yay. Was NOT my most relaxing flight experience, for SURE. But I made it! Onwards and upwards!! Instrument and CPL, here I come!

I never had a checkride that I enjoyed. They were always very nerve racking to me.

Congratulations! It's a huge accomplishment!

Are you going to jump into Instrument, or do your CPL first?

Congratulations! Going to make all your next flights XC?

Sparker, you are only required to have a radio in Class A,B,C, and D airspace and it sounds like they don't have a tower.

That's excellent -- way to handle the stress. I thought regular checkrides were stressful enough.

Well done.

Thanks everyone! To answer a few questions, TT 72hrs, and I'll piggy back Instrument and CPL. Yep, it felt insane but I guess that's the point! Nose to the grindstone, I'm forging ahead... :D
