heligirl03 Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 X-C portion westward into the blinding setting sun, waiting for my turn in the pattern while everyone and their brother (fixed-wingers, gyros AND helis, jeesh!!) tried to get home before dark, one guy flyin' around with no radio and everyone trying to avoid him, shooting autos to the little red light on the wind sock 45min after sunset, slopes in the dark with the beloved, mesmorizing landing light. Yay. Was NOT my most relaxing flight experience, for SURE. But I made it! Onwards and upwards!! Instrument and CPL, here I come! Quote
Autorotator Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 I never had a checkride that I enjoyed. They were always very nerve racking to me. Congratulations! It's a huge accomplishment! Are you going to jump into Instrument, or do your CPL first? --CM Quote

IFLY Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Whoa! Sounds nuts. Did the dude get in trouble for no radio? Congrats!!! Congratulations! Going to make all your next flights XC? Sparker, you are only required to have a radio in Class A,B,C, and D airspace and it sounds like they don't have a tower. Quote
