BillyBob Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 IERW Class 0701... What are push-ups? WOCS 97-06 A push up (or more accurately, many of them) is what occurs shortly after a WOC calls a female TAC Officer 'SIR'. After a while it was worth the pain to giggle later at the contorted face and feign anger. Quote
Linc Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 How about The Chair? (Can we please just do some push-ups or flutter kicks?) Quote

Good one.................yes I recall thinking the LT's had it made. ;-) Thinking back, it wasn't so bad. Linc.......flutter kicks???? Oh heck no. That was the worst and most painful. I don't miss it, but the PT test at 47 in the Guard still sucks. I want another grader............................ Quote
Rincon Pilot Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I sent you a email Chilly.I just got laid off my project management job in Dallas, TX. I am ready to make the commitment. I need to study up for the tests as my math is a little rusty. I am 30 and single, no kids, no crimes. I am a high school graduate with a lot of technical training but no college degree. Let me know if you think it is worth my and the Army's time to apply to WOFT. Thanks! Quote
FLHooker Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 (edited) We did a few, and i stress FEW push-ups in WOCS, but once we were pinned as WO1's, and send over to B Co, it's was off to the flight line, and didn't ever see a TAC again. Oh, and no colors after WOCS either. Just graduated from BOLC IIIB 2 weeks ago, and take my first progression ride tomorrow mornin'. CHAD PS Rincon, do it man, the worst they are gonna say is No... But if you don't apply, you will never know. Edited October 16, 2007 by FLHooker Quote
Rincon Pilot Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Yeah I think I will FL, I just need to find a local recruiter that know what WOCS is and won't railroad me. I spoke to one a year back and they didn't know what a WOFT packet was and did not follow up. They just wanted me to enlist as flight crew and "learn the bird" I heard all the we promote from within and you won't make it as civilian etc.. Quote
FLHooker Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Rincon, yes they do promote crew, but the thing is... they have to do THE EXACT same process everyone has to do. And chances are, that recruiter does know what the hell the WOFT packet is, he's just being hard because it may or may not give him any credits. If you were to walk in there and just literally ask everyone in the room if they knew what the WOFT packet is and if they would help you put it together, I would imagine you would find someone. You can also go to the website I'm gonna put below, get info, and maybe find a recruiter that is local. Anyway, if you have any questions about the actual process you can always PM me or just post here, there are plenty of people around here that know what's going on. Plus, there are posts that have plenty of info. CHAD http://usawocc.army.mil/woes/wocs.htm Quote
ErOk_OnE Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I still don't understand what a push-up is. Please somebody...speak slower...i have dreams of flying in my head. Quote
