flying_eth Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Hi,I've been flying fixed wing for a while now. Most of it being in Alaska doing all kinds of flying (off-airport, floats, air ambulance, etc.) I'm looking into getting into helicopters. I'm looking at doing my training up here in Alaska, down in British Columbia or in New Zealand. If I did it in the US I could have my certificates in a lot fewer hours, but I've heard if you wanna fly somewhere else, say New Zealand it's tough to convert certificates from FAA and it would be better to do training down there. Is this true? Would 3000 hrs of all kinds of fixed wing experience help with heli jobs? Thanks for any help and have a good day! Cheers Quote
