Wow he's good ! I bet it took some doing as I have problems just getting my skids to land with in a foot of my end run line, Let alone duck taping a can opener to the skids and not touching any of the glass with my skids.

Thanks for the Video. ~LD

He is good, but I think the guy in the R44 is better.

Thats the first one I saw, I was about to post there is no way he was better, but if you look at the myspace video, you can see they edited the clip to only contain the actual opening of the bottles, who knows how many tries he actually had to do it.

Thats the former CFC Helicopters R22 in Georgetown, TX. If you look beside the door frame and gas tanks you will see CFC Aviation in white on the blue portion. The new owner had it repainted maroon w/gold accent. I think it just sold or is for sale. It is a IFR Beta model with over 6100 hrs TT!

I've seen another version of the R22 video which doesn't appear to have been edited. At least it took longer (2 minutes 20 seconds according to the video) to open all six of the bottles. It took a long time to get the second bottle but went fairly quickly after that. Here's the link:

I'm gonna have to try that some day, but for now I'll just have a cool one and think about it! :P

Man if Frank Robinson saw those....

When I was at the safety course someone asked Frank about it actually. He said he hadn't heard about it and the guy made the mistake of saying they were opening beer bottles (is it actually soda?). Anyway, Frank wasn't amused at all and said beer and flying don't mix and I think he also said that's not what a helicopter is for... The guy tried to recover and say it was soda, but Frank was not happy at all that it had been brought up... He might have misunderstood what the guy was saying and thought they were actually drinking the beer...

Either way it was definitely a strange, awkward moment!
