H500pilot
We are getting ready to get ahold of a R22 to do some CFI work in the next few weeks. We would (Obviously) like to have a competitive hourly rate. SO, what are you paying per hour for dual training? Thanks!

In the US, its pretty tough to make a penny if you're charging less than 225 for the ship with fuel. Most are at 250 now after fuel surcharges. CFI extra. svtcobra66
Central Florida, figure about $240-$250 an hour dual for a Schweizer 300, so maybe a little less for a R22?
H500pilot
Thanks a lot guys! It sounds like we will definitely be in the lower range of those numbers. There are three of us who are trying to build time, so we acquired an R22 to do some CFI work. So we will be offering instruction and time building opportunities for others as well. Nothing really fancy, just cheap time.
Sparker
$266 per hour dual, $66 is for the CFI, $40 actually makes it to the CFI...
Taylor04
I pay $257 an hour wet. And $45 dollars per hour for instructor on the ground.
H500pilot
We have set our price at 199 per hour for dual. We feel that is plenty fair.

Did you build in extra for the first student that slams the thing on the tarmac? Good luck.
H500pilot
well I'm not charging more for new students. But the r22 is fully insured.

Chi-town
H500, Where are you going to be teaching? I think you said you and another new CFI were doing a "start-up" with an R22 you just bought. Don't forget to have your paperwork straight (TSA, maint. records, etc.) or there will be headaches the first time the FSDO comes to visit.
